So I've been gone from Plurk for a while and haven't typed stuff here since seeing Mia last Christmas (I think.) Interesting things that have happened:

Tried the whole online dating thing. It was a lot more fruitful than I expected. Like holy shit. When a girl asked me out online, I panicked to close friends from Manila and, unlikely enough, my brother (awk)

On the first date, it was... interesting. She was nice and we had a good night that wasn't entirely me being solid rock. We (tackily) made out in the middle of a coffee shop late at night. It was pretty great

But she was leaving for Bukidnon the next week so I knew it wasn't going to last. She wanted to meet every other day... which was... worrying...

And to my horror, and to the irony of life: it turns out she's clingy. Really clingy. Intelligent, street-wise, but clingy. And speaking as a clingy guy, I felt all forms of uncomfortable.

It's long since ended and I'm happy with that

On other interesting events, I was previously contacted last year from some random girl looking to use my only published story for her college thesis. I was more than happy to oblige.

says The thesis turned out so much better than even I realised. Like holy balls:

She sent me a free copy since I was the author. So now I get the grand idea (not really) to try to actually mass produce the thing. That's where I am right now. Trying to talk to the right people.

And I litke space. Yes. I still like space.

Also, I've been going back to my card-playing roots from when I was but a lad. Been playing Magic: The gathering all over again May the Lord have mercy on my wallet.
