chicawhappa that's really great to hear - everybody who cooks experiences both disasters and successes. Too often, we only hear about the successes, and that can put people off for fear of failure.
One of things I was hoping for with this blog was to show all the ups and downs of cooking, and that regardless of how things go, you can still usually end up with something tasty.
