Basically, if (for a short period of time, long enough for an event or two) we had an NPC Kyuubey, would anyone have one of their characters form a magical girl contract?
It would go the same as in canon: awesome magical powers in exchange for a wish, and the magical girls would have to fight witches
... don't they turn into witches if they fall into despair?
except there are no witches, and thus no grief seeds to recharge soul gems with
Hope and despair is a huge thing for DR canon lol
It's a chance to kill your character in a very horrible way if you want it
but yeah that would be the thing, anyone who contracts would either die or become a witch before endgame
which is why we're doing an interest check first
If nobody is interested in having their character contract and suffer, we won't do it |Db and instead focus on other events
(I know I said a thing but no I'm not gonna do this to Ibuki XD; sorry)
(It's ok I understand |Db
I don't think i could be that terrible...as much as it appeals
And Mitellux is too smart to make deals with these sorts of things.
....magical girl dragon tho
... now if I had brought in Ixthalluz instead of her mom, it could totally happen
damn though I really can't justify it for Mitellux D:
.......... then again on the other hand
instead of a magical girl uniform, she just gets bling
well, she does have a human form
and yeah that is fine |Db I can definitely understand being attached to characters, and this is a touch decision!
but can Kyuubey bring in her dead children
That might drive her over the edge of making the deal - lol but yeah you'd have a bunch of black dragons and yeah I know
all of them are... at least young adults
Kyuubey could also just move their ash statues into the Bastion
youngest is young adult, I haven't figured out the ages for the other ones beyond Ixie...
"Here are your children, like you asked for!"
oh god she'd be so pissed
I dunno if the Bastion would be enough to stop her from trying to step on Kyuubey
what if she has the foresight to ask for them alive tho
I am of the mind that people brought back from the dead 'come back wrong' if that makes sense?
like, they're there, but there's always something 'off' about them
well that could work too but I was more thinking personality-wise
like ok let me use this as an example
I was saw a homestuck/madoka crossover thing
Dave's wish was to bring Bro back to life
Bro came back and became a hipster douchebag who liked golfing and going to frat parties
or like, maybe their bodies come back, but their souls don't
or their souls go back into their old bodies, which are ash
so they're floating souls in a cloud of vaguely dragon-shaped ash
there are a lot of ways it could go wrong
(I'm more inclined to do bad things to Mitellux than I am to Ibuki jsyk)
but making deals with an unknown
what I have a hard time justifying
yeah it really is tough to justify
...On one hand, I would like to do this, but on the other hand Alucard would be suspicious at best, and Ghaleon would probably start trying to murder Kyuubey the instant the wishes were brought up, ahahaha...ha
but patchouli is already a magical girl.
Patchouli gets all the powers and none of the downsides!
can she regain her full range of flight? and the solar death rays? and not be horribly ill possibly due to exposure to dangerous chemicals during her studies? and not have to go through the despair things?
Considering that both Naegi and Shing are already hope personified and would also be suspicious of Kyubey, on top of that?
Nooooooooooo, not happening anytime soon...
!!!
Naegi would make a cute magical girl...
Ibuki can do that makeover to him without making him worry about turning into a witch tho
patchouli is okay with this. but don't listen to her, her fashion sense is awful.
( She totally needs to kidnap him and stick him in all manner of cute outfits, actually. )
If you ever want to have an entry of him just going out in a ridiculous outfit thanks to Ibuki
(She's not doing it to be mean, she just thinks he looks adorable XD; )
YES GOOD
...hmm. Can't say I'll be goin' for this, mainly because the listed fate. Problem is that BRS would be very vulnerable to being tempted with such a thing right now, but...
my only Bastion kid, so if she bites it, poof, out of the game. :'D So as nifty as the idea is, I'd have to opt out.
I'm not sure Megaera can make this deal - like, if she tried, her entire body would become the soul gem because she has no body/soul separation
Yeah it's the guaranteed death that makes me pass
Tobias would immediately go for no. AZ is smart/experienced enough to also go no.
... I don't think I can be that mean to Ryu. He's also technically half of a god so that might weird things.
... Otoha on the other hand already sort of is in a magical contact. He might go for it if he can get his powers back.
Because as it is he can't use any of them without his city's will personified unlocking them.
Unless this is restricted to females in which case never mind.
On one hand, Rob's genre savvy enough that he'd have plenty of questions for how exactly this would work. On the other hand, if he was given the opportunity to fix everything that the Calamity caused
he might go for that even knowing he'd be getting a raw deal. Gripping hand, I don't think I could construct a satisfying character arc with this addition - I'm already unsure of how this will turn out as it is
