I'm going to see Chevelle and The Used in concert

And then while I'm getting ready my grandma sends me a message saying they're making plans to send me to Japan

I'M GOING TO JAPAN, GUYS

idk when, but it's in the works >.<

For people who don't know: My grandmother is a Japanese ambassador of sorts

When there was a lot of racial tension between Americans and Japanese she opened her house to Japanese foreign exchange students

At one point she had over 30 living in her house

Squeeeeee

And woah that is a lot of students

Uh, yeah, seriously

She has a picture of all of them crowded around a Volkswagon bus with all of them rocking hippie hair

It's an awesome pic lol

My grandma STILL does it and now hosts parties for Japanese people in the area who are feeling homesick

There are like 50-60 people coming to some of these parties

They all just bring food that reminds them of home and allows them to meet people who speak their language and are going through the same things

A while ago she was given a tour of Japan and even got to meet the Emperor

And now her friends want to do the same for me >.<

I AM SO EXCITED

God I need to work on my Japanese >.<

I know practically nothing
