I would obvs love to write it, but I completely get what it's like to be at that point with a character, and it's not at all essential.

Horatio is way happier than he was now anyway, but I think you can safely assume that he would tell Bush that he has a duty to himself, and to Jones (if he's going to go sail with Jones for a bit???)

(If not Jones then a duty to the Navy, as well as the Barge.)

and that it's the right time for him to go do that etc. etc. ALSO HE MIGHT REASSURE BUSH THAT THINGS WILL ACTUALLY BE FINE ON THE BARGE WITHOUT HIM, and tell him not to hold back out of fear.
