Taxes! I need to get that done, now that I've got everything together...

Never minded them much... Neither having them come out of my paycheck, nor filling the forms. Now, owing kinda sucks.

Yah, that's why we're waiting til the last minute - we are going to owe. I guess that's what happens when you're an "adult" and own stuff and get capital gains.

Yeah... I've never accumulated terribly much capital, somehow... Been too much a spendthrift. Working on being more thrifty, and less spendy.

automatic savings is the key. Open a savings account somewhere inconvenient and have money sent there automatically every pay period.

Yeah, I've had that going in the past, and will probably start as much again. I've been saving to an easy-to-get-to account and been good about not getting to it...

Until I kind of needed to for the sudden new expense of rent, and overly expensive rent at that, in my current situation. Got some good leads today, though.

And I do at least have my 401 going strongly. That's hard to get to.
