just in case you were wondering why they seem to happen routinely on Thursdays, that is the day of the week our trash is scheduled to be collected.

which, of course, doesn't happen because of the storm, so we get to have 2 weeks' worth of used cat litter and various kitchen scraps moldering in the garage....if we are lucky.
