I think this is good for near synchronous written conversation. Still, to me, it misses the serendipity of Twitter.

I prefer plurk because it keeps the conversation thread together.

For one conversation, I think a chat room would be better (like www.tinychat.com/ ). To me, Plurk & Twitter have different uses.

Actually, I am preparing a presentation on the use of chat in the classroom. So re-thinking Plurk right now.

I think if you stuck with it for a week or so, you'd see it's value. And you need about 50-80 friends since you're already used to Twitter.
