Not much use in the winter, but yep - hot tub gets used every couple weeks

Why do you need a pool pump timer in winter?

Because I use the hot tub in winter, and I don't want the pool to become a swamp. So, water has to run 6hrs/day through the chlorine feeder. But the pump's 1.5kw, so expensive to run.

Normally, I turn it on before work, off after, for maybe 9 hours - so I'm paying about 50% more in electricity than I need to.
