Prefacing with a yes, I know things are slow to update. My house is currently functioning more or less as a hospital right now aha. So I've been a little sparse lately.

And quickly, reserves are opening tomorrow. They, along with apps once they open, will be open permanently.

But what I really wanted to get at is something that will take a group effort.

I know this is an ATLA/LoK based game, and I know the two casts are fairly big.

I know it's hard not to just tag your own cast, and since I've been busy I've been doing that myself.

But it seems to me that there's almost a divide.

ATLA/LoK often tags within the cast and doesn't always branch out to the non-ATLA/LoK casts.

Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone.

There are few people who tag just about everyone!

I would really like to see a little more tagging outside of casts, though.

And like I said before, I'm guilty of just tagging people I know because I've been busy with hospital stuff, but I'm going to make an effort to branch out, tag people I don't thread with normally, etc.

I dunno.

I guess my point is just that I'd like the game to be a little more welcoming to people who don't play from ATLA/LoK.

And I know that because the casts are so large, sometimes it's hard to tag outside of them because you have so much going on within the cast.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions to motivate more cross-canon CR, please send them our way!

Something else to discuss is we may reduce the size of the world. Allow exploration, but not have the world be so vast that people are scattered too far to interact with each other.

So there may be some... destruction... in some places. Most likely from the giant spirits wandering the oceans.

That's our plan, but not set in stone yet.

Kuvira's just...getting back on her feet but once she's more rooted I'll be all over the place with her. So.

I mean, we're not trying to force you to tag cross-canon. We do want it to be IC and natural. But I think if people stick to who they know, or canons they know, then it can come off as unwelcoming to some.

I'm hoping to get something going with Asami + the airbenders sometime soon? Getting into designing those nifty wing suits. So if there are airbender characters interested in that, hit me up and we can get

something going!

Awesome! Don't be afraid to use the OOC comm to post plans, or even just plurk.

Something else to consider is putting up an IC contact post. Letters, messenger hawks, radio, etc.

It IS a common way to keep in touch in with the canon, letters especially, even if it's a little slower.

And if anyone wants to do any sort of plotting involving Future Industries in general, I'm all ears. I'm trying to come up with something that could be inclusive to the playerbase at large.

If only Asami were underhanded. She could do something with everyone needing ID/proof of residence, hah.

But one thing that... might be too large of a suggestion, and I'm sorry if it's an overstep, but the canon characters in general are pretty stretched thin with filling the holes of the "missing" canon roles.

Especially with the current size of the world.

And this isn't to take anything away from people who want to play that out, that's totally fine! But perhaps an NPC presence of some kind could help with the general running of the world?

Considering I'm replying later than late. Yes! Late tags are perfectly fine.

As one of the non-AtLA/LoK players here, I feel like I should point out that the responsibility to tag out shouldn't just be on the shoulders of the AtLA/LoK players.

It isn't, but the non-ATLA/LoK characters have much, much smaller casts. So they usually don't have the "gotta keep up with my cast! then I can tag out!" problem.

I've only had one non-Avatar person do that so far, and they fell off after a couple poses. I've always felt bad about that. And hope I don't smell or something. ^^;

I find it hard to play with just slice-of-life aspects too, so I've been low on inspiration since the holidays but I'll try and be active and tag out more with my LoK/non-LoK characters equally!
