Peeling with a spoon? I've always found it hard to peel with a potato peeler, I can't believe it would work well with a spoon... Care to enlighten me?

Peeling ginger, specifically, with a spoon is reasonably effective, especially if you go around rather than lengthwise (that part took me a little while to work out), and lets you get into the little nooks

while losing minimal actual ginger underneath the peel.

I should imagine a potato peeler would be difficult, especially since I'm using baby ginger and not the large roots.

And I do not sharpen my fingernails, Tanarian -- they just grow that way, apparently!
