Yep, a friend in OK posted that gas was under $2. I have envy.

Our station is currently at about $2.80, which boggles my mind. Next time I redeem gas points it'll likely be around $2!

Ours is about $2.60. I thought we were always the highest.

We're hovering around $2.20 right now, but about two weeks ago, a couple stations had regular for $2.01.

Yes, for some reason gas is cheaper here than elsewhere. South Carolina had the cheapest gas in the nation for quite some time, although I don't think we do anymore.

I thought I was doing well with 1.15 a litre when I cashed in Tesco fuel saver points last month (garage over the road does 1.21 a couple of days a week, usually 1.25

When I first came to the UK you could occasionally find petrol under 50p a litre and diesel was even cheaper.

CPB and I had a conversation this morning about when gas was like $0.98/gal, in either 1998 or 1999. Sigh.

I never paid attention to gas prices till I got my license - so I suppose that while I must technically remember gas being less than $1, the cheapest I actually REMEMBER is $1.05-$1.10, right around when I got

my license.

I think it was Thanksgiving 1998, when I saw gas prices in the 80-cent range in Indiana!

I remember it being under a dollar when I was a kid.
