/plants ass here
terrified because there are all these professors and engineers and Nasa folk and little old me.
and they all wanted to talk to me. o.o
but then we talked and it was awesome.
still has to get through my panel tomorrow, though. <,<
I mean...what's the subject.
Its a panel about the challenges to space exploration/colonization
I'm on it with five to six other panelists who are experts in their respective fields.
... I'm guessing some of hte major problems include the fact that we don't have the technology to go very far very quickly and still hold all the materials we'd need to get that far
as well as the physiological issues iwth keeping a human in space for that long
/rubs on everyone for good luck
....... PS I am extremely proud too, just fyi
There's more, too, but the problems are now what they've virtually always been.
Excellent; are there any solutions that you're also proposing, or are you mainly there to discuss the issues themselves?
Though with mars its more a matter of haaving enough fuel to STOP going fast enough to land.
Well I did come up with a solution to use our waste-water as a propellant today that seemed to impress people, but its not a very glorious solution.
people ont he space station are recycling their water so much that they're drinking their own pee
Glamorous isn't what we need, if the alternative means making it to mars
we'll be doing a lot of recycling on mars, too...though not to the same extent since water will be more readily available.
Although considering how much of a burden it is to transport water, they'll probably be recycling it as much as they can anyway, just ot cut back on what they'll have to carry
Glorious isn't what keeps people alive, practical is.
ALSO PROUD OMG!!! /rubs on
