Yes. A+ parenting. There's hope for the world yet.
I remember as a kid, I wanted to be the white ranger, but my mom bought me pink
I remember hating it so much omg. I just wanted to be Tommy because he was the coolest.
*um excuse me JASON was the coolest
Tommy had that sweet anti-hero thing going for him
Until he didn't anymore MY FACE IS THE TRUEST THING YOU'VE EVER SEEN
Jason was a motherfucking HERO
always doing what's right even when it meant hurting himself
FORGIVING TOMMY when there was no reason
TOMMY WAS BADASS THEY FORGAVE HIM BECAUSE HE'S BADASS AND CAN DO WHAT HE WANTS
Ash: Rooting for the anti-hero since 1988
I almost punched someone at work for telling me Raphael was a prick because he had a bad attitude
He is the most glorious prick there is
Well I can't argue with that
I think I just always liked the red characters
I too have a penchant for red characters. Except in Power Rangers, apparently.
Well, I guess I could, but I stopped liking him when he became the red ranger
He got all goody-two-shoes and it was lame
I think that's actually when I stopped watching Power Rangers alltogether
I was mad because Tommy became the red ranger and wasn't cool anymore XD
I hardly even remember what he looked like without his suit on
I do vaguely remember a ponytail, though
I HAVE SO MUCH HATE IN MY HEART FOR THIS LOOK
Green Ranger Tommy is the only Tommy
I loved him as green and white
I really don't think I was paying attention to what his face looked like
man I didn't know you had so many power ranger feelings
Dude Power Rangers was awesome
EVERY NYCC Jason Frank does a panel and it's always ass early in the morning and I never get to see it
WILL YOU TRY TO GO WITH ME TO THE POWER RANGERS PANEL NEXT YEAR ASH
Granted I haven't seen it since I don't even know when
When did Tommy become red ranger? Because that's the last time I've seen it.
I can try to date it to myself because it started when I was 10 and those are round numbers
but then I'd be dating myself pretty terribly. XD
Idk. My third grade science project was a bullfrog I caught in my neighbor's pond that I named Tommy
this makes sense I was 13 >>
I was WAY too old to be into Power Rangers the way I was into power rangers
I must've stopped watching it when I was 8
like. the 6th graders made fun of me like crazy BUT THEN WHEN I WAS BABYSITTING? I was a champ
"Adam? Adam, what's wrong?"
"I'm a frog."
THAT'S ALL I'D NEED TO REFERENCE and I was IN
I think I moved on to Batman the Animated Series and SPIDER-MAN oh man did I love Spider-Man
Back when the hyphen was a thing
idk if the hyphen is still a thing
the hypneh is supposed to be a thing but we're in a much lazier time now
Also Digimon. I remember I had a mighty love for Digimon.
even though I was in college
You don't have to judge me I judge myself
And dude, this is coming for the girl who likes turtles
I'm in literally no position to judge anyone
Another thing that happened while I as ignoring Plurk:
I found a comic shop downtown that sold me Mint condition TMNT trades for retail price
And I mean like, retail price back in '92
I almost cried and just threw extra money at him
It's this little old man who has a shop in the ghetto
He obviously lives upstairs and has this creaky old cat that sleeps in a box behind the counter
And he was SO NICE and sweet and the shop was FANTASTIC
I paid $11 for a book that's worth $50
And he was just like "Well, I've had them around for so long. I'm just glad you're taking them."
dude you can't get a NEW trade for $11
He's looking to see if he has any Mirage books in his back room (that's PILED to the ceiling)
And I'm sure he'd sell them to me for retail, too god
The place is called Comicbook Heaven and that's pretty legit
That neighborhood's seedy as hell, though
I don't usually get nervous in bad neighborhoods, but that place looked like the Apocalypse had already come and gone
Though I think that little old man might actually be a wizard so I think he'll be okay
