I loved being in Japan, but I knew to graduate properly I needed to come back for second semester.

But when I emailed to talk about it I was told my return would be too late to register for classes, so I had no choice but to stay.

But NOW I'm told by my advisor that I could have registered for classes all the same!

I was outright lied to and now I'm only able to graduate because my department is willing to look the other way for me.
