okay so basically my concept on this was

i didn't want this to be a game where the mystery was the big point since it was too short

so there are a lot of elements that are just 'please handwave this please just accept it'

please just accept that we evacuated your bodies and no one died and those were fake corpses

the reason being this time i didn't want to do supernatural or VR or whatever,

i wanted that kind of 'this is real' feeling to it

sci fi, definitely improbable stuff, but not so out there that you doubt this is real

if it wasn't like that, the twist with the VIPs thinking it was a dream/game/whatever wouldn't have worked right

i was almost tempted to just do permadeath on this but that was too sad

so i did the improbably 'no one dies' thing as a way to cooperate between not wanting a sad ending but also

YEAH I WAS SERIOUSLY SET UP FOR PERMADEATH... but the toll being so high Im relieved that just would have shredded everybody

not wanting a world where coming back to life is possible.

anyway the basic behind the scenes stuff was all kind of silly and tangential to just wanting to achieve that and have an atmosphere

but

the actual plot is that this basically the equivalent of a former soviet satellite

though not a real one, a pretend one

after the collapse of the soviet union it became a crazy dictatorship and then even that fell apart

the brain experiments to control people into killing was part of what the country was doing

they were running all kinds of crazy experiments. but it went wrong and the country has essentially been evacuated or destroyed now because of a factory meltdown

people are now just kind of accidentally being looped into all of this even though there's not any kind of organization or infrastructure behind it anymore

it's basically still running even though it's been abandoned

but like i said it's pretty silly so i didn't want this to become part of the game it's just what was behind what i was doing haha

"We haven't allowed any waste" just terrified me so much like I'm so afraid this is secretly Time Loop Game

in universe it was ciel and mabel getting weapons and being told to kill everyone that day

so what does everyone think the biggest mafia mistake and biggest village mistake was

also biggest village mistake has gotta be the nui/francis fiasco especially when both people were cleared

biggest buddy cop mistake: out inability to find anyone except innocents for like AGES

oh but to be serious I think the mistake we should have anticipated is that the medics would bank on us expecting them to protect missile

we could have double bluffed but we didn't risk it

we should have tracked down the medics before the cops; actually early on there was a strong suspicion that kenny was the medic due to the nature of the note that was written

you guys went through almost every person with a cell phone that was pretty impressive

that was kind of bad luck too

we got like every pair except the two important ones by the last few days

fun facts edea was the one who snapped him out of that at the last minute

I have no idea if it's IC for Edea to love Missile but I love Missile so

I wanted to leave ridiculous anonymous notes the whole game, but Simon saw Levi and his reaction was, "WHAT'S HE DOING? IS THIS A TRAP? IS HE GOING TO BE WATCHING THE NOTE DROP?" and he got scared off

I'm glad I got to be as much of shit with him as I did, but original plans were to be at least three times that much of a shit, hahaha
