since it works just as well plopped down with a tablespoon and flattened with a fork to give it little ridges

My ladyfriend is allergic to dairy and gluten; generally I follow her diet as it's easier to cook for two. We use a tonne of coconut oil though! It's just not quite the same.

if my vegan friend's experience is anything to go by, if you go long enough without it it'll eventually taste completely awful when you tried it

her baked potato accidentally got buttered at a cafe 10 years after she last ate animal produce and she was immediately at the sudden odd taste

I like to slip in some things on the side. Usually kefir or occasionally milk.

Dairy does taste weird but I still kind of like it. I don't necessarily always crave it like some people get cheese-wants, but it's still nice on certain things!

i have an on-off relationship with milk and i definitely notice a weird aftertaste if i hadn't had it for a month

though my mum used to make melting moments with a tub of baking margarine and they always tasted just fine

strong flavoured filling may have helped
