I was talking to a friend about this. There is so much information that we all had to learn as we went while creating mesh, and business models. What tips would you give someone just starting?

For Maya - Lattice tool. Wat. Why did I go months without knowing what it did. It's saved me hours and hours in resizing.

Pricing for sure.. I wish I had researched it more when I started doing clothing. Other things are texturing tricks though I still do feel somewhat intimidated by the avatar UV..

Pricing is a huge one. It took me a long time to figure out a good long-term pricing model (cheaper is better, imo. I sell more for longer periods)

The avatar UV is intimidating! It took me ages to realize that the bottom UV is a different scale than the top. I remember when someone told me that and it blew my mind.
