I am actually kinda bummed because it is a show sample so I won't even get to wear it until next show season when I replace it with something else.

that the way the yarn variegates? Or is that a mix of yarns. Either way...I LOVE IT!

Thanks! It's one of my new gradient yarns. I did cut out some of the green so that I would get to the red by the end of the pattern,
LladyLlama

because I thought I would use more yarn on this pattern and it really needed the red on the edge for it to pop.

I have a skein of mink yarn I wanted to use up for a zuzu petals, I wasn't sure if I'd have enough with 300 yards. How much did you use?
LladyLlama

Well I knit it from fingering weight on size US 8 to get the gauge specified for the sport weight version and I used half of my 100g skein.

The skein has 400 yards and I did add 8 extra rows and a few increases on the edging.

Yea mine is classified as laceweight, but it's thicker, more like a light fingering.
LladyLlama

Hmmmm...maybe you could hold it double and alter the lace repeat to make it a bit smaller?

I think i'll be ok with it, I wouldn't mind it fitting a little closer to my neck either. And I see some patterns that use light fingering only using 175-200 yards

It's worth a shot. It's a super quick knit so it's not a lit of time invested if it doesn't work up quite the way you want it. I knit half of it on US 6s and then decided to switch to 8s.

Even with frogging the while thing and casting back on it was a really fast knit.

That seems like a good plan.  I have too many things to knit right now so this is on hold, but I can't wait to get to it

Also for future reference, do you sell your gradients on etsy?

I've never had a nice gradient yarn (I don't count noro b/c it's scratchy)

They are a new product line for me and right now I am dyeing them for a show in September but I will have them up on the shop after that.

I've actually never knit with Noro because I've heard so many people complain about the hand and the knots that it never seemed very tempting to me.
Hattie says

well I definitely love this colorway but I'd love to see others as well
