I think I need a FB break!!!!!
I was challenged and completed it but also made a donation. My grandmother had and my aunt has ALS
I respect the base sediment and understand it's for a good cause, but enough already!
I hope everyone is truly donating.
Same here. Did it and donated. I did it because my daughter wanted me to and it's a good cause, not for any kind of self-promotion.
yet to be challenged, but I have had great fun watching people do it
DH got called out. We are sending our donation to the Wichita office
Thanks! I was just there over the weekend for the fly around... good times
I'm done with it. Nice way to raise awareness. Kudos to all who contributed. Now moving on to the next charity in need?
I like Vin Diesal's version… to plant a tree...
I'm all for contributing quietly, no ice, no bucket, no fanfare.
I like the tree planting idea!
I have donated for many memorial trees to be planted in Isreal in the past several years.
I'm happy to see people making donations. I'm a little iffy about all the water waste, but I like seeing a grassroots effort spread and do good.
Did you see Patrick Stewart?
roswellsgirl: the local news I watch has explained briefly, especially since some of them get called out
I'm glad you said that, because I've been thinking it. It's for a good cause, but it has gotten a bit crazy. I hope people are following through with their promise to donate.
bitey: there were some great points in that article. Maybe we should do an ice bucket challenge to raise money for some of these other causes... how about Parkinsons or depressive disorders?
MelissaeKae: how about not anything to do with ice buckets but we donate to a worthy cause anyway
I hate being cold... I can't think of anything worse than getting ice water dumped on my head. Hence the $100 I guess.

My principal announced today that we (the school) is participating in the ice bucket challenge. Whole school fund raising, and then 4 kids from class that raises most dump ice bucket on her and her daughters.
Would have been nice to have a discussion about it. This is new principal. We have a history of fundraising for projects that benefit our families more directly.
