Gar and I went blacksmithing over the weekend. I made a twisted S hook for hanging pots over the fireplace. Not bad at all! I learned a lot about finishing metal projects, too.
That sounds VERY cool! I'd have loved to go do something like that with my dad. Hell, I'd STILL like to go do something like that with him

It's part of the Northern Virginia Blacksmith Guild. We have a facility in an Arlington County park and work there every second Friday. I'm working on some wrought iron next.
