Because I saw a plurk about this but now I can't find it agian.
Its highly likely that TFcon will extend their block if its full...they've done this in the past for Toronto.
BUT if you're not dead set on the Hyatt, there are a few other hotels in the area which are in walking distance (IE across the street) from the con hotel.
The suites are very large, with two rooms in each suite each having a bed. (if you book a double-bed one then you get three beds)
Free hot breakfast, and also free drinks from 5-7pm
ALSO there is a fridge and microwave in each suite
Excellent, thanks for the info, friend!
It is also VERY IMPORTANT to have that microwave becaues there are LITERALLY no restaurants in walking distance
The closest option is a mcdonalds that is several blocks away.
When I stay at this hotel for Acen we tend to order in pizza or chinese, save our leftovers and microwave them later.
(or just bring in foods that we store in the fridge)
Whoa dude this is awesome! Thank you!
Plus if we all get embassy rooms then we can have late night room parties~
Not going but replurking for any friends who are o/
the con hotel is booked up past the con block so just throwing that out there
so it's more 'no rooms' and less 'no more con block'
do you know of any other good ones in the ~$140 range per room? the $199 price tag on the suite is outside our price range
machinisms: That is gonna be the price you're looking at anywhere around the airport, unfortunately.
There is...lets see. There is another hotel right there but I dont remember the name of it.
:c hm. pumping up the price outside affordable range
and it is also right there
It is still in walking distance
(and is actually right across from the embassy suites)
I would not recommend going any further than that, though, or the walking starts to get REALLY annoying.
You can also fit a lot more people in Embassy to make the price go down...but if you have a set number of folks then you might be better off at the doubletree
like so tight idk if I can go so like it could be only 3
shhhh no stop that if you need some help going then we'll work something out.
:|a so now that i'm home i'm looking at the doubletree and i don't see anything about $130/night
i'm not sure what exactly the search criteria you're going by. hm
Most of these are coming up as $200+ per night
are you using any specific website or discount?
I was just using what it said on google, which is through the hilton website
the doubletree is coming up at 120-140 for me when I put in the TFcon dates
