Food I used to. Back to buying food that will last longer. Mostly pasta and pb on bread.
And I got super lazy on my workouts.
seriously though. i hear ya. it's impossible to be healthy without decent food :/ since I started working i have no time to cook healthy anymore
brad cooks a lot which is SUPER helpful but it's a LOT of starch and carbs and rice! tasty but not exactly helpful@ haha
Haha Awwww. Yeah. It must be harder when It's someone else cooking
You could still write up meal plans and hope he follows some of them?
true, but that takes a long time and i'm not even home some days for supper. blah! haha
Carbs aren't the enemy! They feed your muscles!
Get on that brown rice train!
I've been studying how body builders structure their diets and kind of been building around that. Obviously I am less strict with it than they are. If cake's on sale, I get cake lol
but I mean, clearly it works. And you get to eat SO much food because it's all so healthy and the calories are very manageable.
When I'm being really good I actually have days where I'm too full to actually hit my calorie limit.
It's kind of the best haha
It isn't expensive either. My grocery diet is $30/week, and sometimes I don't even need that much.
Lots of different kinds of frozen fish and veggies, lots of spices, lots of brown rice.
And since you aren't veggie, you have more variety with lean meats like chicken and even lean ground beef.
I really only eat chicken. Not a fish or beef fan. And sadly...I usually have to make $30 last for two weeks of food. Money SUCKS hard
But Thanks for the advice!
Portion control is What's hardest for me. When I should stop eating, I still feel hungry. So I just finish it.
I have to set it out before hand and out the left overs away before I start eating. It's a pain. Lol
Maureen. Tell me your secrets.
