once when I was in middle school I wrote one or two multi chapter fanfics, and wsd having fandom fun and such...
until I got a flamer review on one of the fics on ff.net 
it was pretty damaging to a 13/14 year old mind and more or less killed my drive to continue writing long format prose

Those people shouldn't be worth your time anymore. I know what words can do, but now continue writing the way you want. If they don't like it, then they simply don't read it

The hell with Flamers.
That's terrible, when I was 12 a flamer reviewed on of mine telling me to jump off a bridge. Don't let that kill your drive to write, I'm sure you're a wonderful writer with great ideas.
