I don't know if I've explained...but in February I was hired by a temp agency to work for another company called Compucom, doing IT work for Lowe's Home Improvement stores.

CompuCom has been contracted by Lowes to provide techs to cover the stores each week. Essentially, a tech is given 8 to 10 stores and must go to two each day on a regular basis, IE, the same day each week
My job was fill-in: when a tech couldn't do his stores due to vacation, illness, or termination, I traveled to the location and did the work instead. It usually meant leaving the house on Sunday afternoon
and returning home Friday evening.. But then, in early May, I was asked if I could take over for a set of stores in the New Haven/Southington/Danbury area of Connecticut...the tech who had the stores was not

doing a good job and the Lowes coordinator wanted me to take over, so I did and that's what I'm doing now.
It's a busy job, but I'm home every night. Not sure if that's good or bad - I do kind of miss the traveling.
But it's gotten me out of my rut, I guess.
Anyhow - in May, I was also offered a permanent position with CompuCom and accepted. The boss wasn't happy I went to my own stores rather than continue as the fill-in, but he wanted me happy, he said
So...I'm up at 6am, out the door at 6:30 to 6:45 and home about 5pm/5:30 pm.
