However, if I buy a lens, it will be the 24-70.

I always look at lenses too. trying to decide if an off brand will be as sharp as the canon brand on some of them. At least til I strike it rich.

Oh shit, yeah...looking at the price of the 24-70. quite the price tag. not in my budget w/o winning lotto numbers. Tell me about your filters. i have been thinking about getting some.

And I wish you were close by. I need a photog buddy. I haven't shot anything in a long time and I want to play/learn.
