So question for your plurkies... has anyone here got rid of their cable and just have internet? How do you watch all the tv shows you love. Have you had to give up any?

we did that for a couple summers. We got netflix and you can watch most of the local channels like cbs, nbc online the next day. I can't say as though I really liked it though.

Although I am one to flip through the channels for an hour straight. :-)

been cable free since 2012. We have Netflix subscription, and Amazon Prime. We also will occasionally buy seasons of our fave tv shows on iTunes and stream them to our TV. Saves us $600 - 700 a year in cable.

I also watch stuff on Hulu for free on my computer or stream it to the TV. We have a mac mini so it hooks right up to the TV for all the online stuff that isn't on the PS3.

No cable for us - we watch shows through hulu, afterwards on Netflix or prime, or through the station channel. Neither of us do sports though so that wasn't something we've had to figure out that some do need

We have not had cable in over 10 years and use Netflix or Hulu. I have an antenna and can get PBS, CBS, NBC, ABC and have not missed anything :-)

we've only had internet for the past 5 years, netflix and amazon prime - they carry different content but you could get away with just one or the other

I haven't had cable in 6+ years. I watch things on Hulu and Netflix (I subscribe to both) mostly. I borrow my mom's cable for AMC and a friend's log in for HBO. I watch Hulu, Netflix and HBO through my AppleTV.

I also have Amazon Prime which has free stuff to watch on there, too. I airplay that from my iPad to my AppleTV.

We have netflix, Hulu plus, and Amazon Prime. I watch other shows online but ABC just started making you put in your cable provider if you want to watch episodes without waiting a week. However, most
