By "Job Fair", I've found that it usually means "wait in a huge line to fill out an application for a minimum-wage job that won't call back anyway."

I think of "job fair" as being something with employers/departments/units with tables and kiosks set up with information and people to talk to about the organization.

I remember a couple held in SL ... I think 2007-2008. One made the news here in Italy because of a person getting a very good position at Amazon. The one I visited was interesting

I went to that job fair. Nobody got back to me there, either, but at least they seemed less janitorial.
