when I open it in itunes it constantly rebuffers

it's just depressing, it's the steam of a friend who's a really good live performer in sl...and it sucks I can't hear him properly

in WMP, go to Tools > Options and Performance tab, increase buffer to 15 or 30 (play with that) and see if it works

where's that setting in itunes?

I use that more than WMP

iTunes does a lot of it automatically... settings are under Preferences > Playback tab

nope, it's automatically done, hence why I wanted you to try it in WMP to see if that is the issue

yes I do for kindle, tablet...etc

theyr'e not being used at the moment

just wondering if you were trying to stream over wifi, that could be a bottleneck too

I did think of that but none of the devices were being actively used

that doesn't really matter, if you are using a laptop to stream over wifi, that can be the problem, if you connect it directly via ethernet cable, it should perform better

no I use a desktop, it's directly connected
