that since I am a tight knitter that interchangeable might not be for me. Which makes since because I've had 5 sets of interchangeable and hated them all except the Chiagoo red lace which is okay but I hate the

cord on the bamboo Chiagoo. So he is replacing the size 5 bamboo that is coming apart and replacing a bent Addi sock rocket that I noticed was bent and I didn't even get it from them. I got it somewhere else

but they are replacing it anyway free of charge. He wants me to try the fixed Chiagoo bamboo needle and if I like is willing to work with Chiagoo to get me a credit or something he said to get me some needles

As an Indie Dyer, it is hard to be able to fulfil every customer's wish as we really are small businesses. My mantra is not the customer is always right, but rather the customer is always the customer and we

Oh and not saying you are, but some customers can be a PITA! Indy dyed yarns are different. They are unique! Recently I dyed the same yarn using exactly the same dyes and the same amounts of water

and same amount of sunshine- no two skeins are exactly the same!

its a bit like ordering a cake. You can get one from the supermarket made in a factory and every one will be about the same. Or else you can bake one at home and there will be subtle variances.

You sad the right word there fifikins SUBTLE....in my case it was nothing like I wanted it was much darker than it should had been.
Qeenribbit says

None the less it is pretty but not what I wanted and when you she'll out over 70 bucks that's very disappointing

Wow! Next time ask for photos before it is sent or something? Oh and what happened to your yarn diet young woman!
Qeenribbit says

It's my last splurge fifikins I actually did see a photo but I thought it was drying and that is why it was so much darker. Cause sometime when I was my woolies they are a little darker until they dry.

I was shocked when I got it and I question said person and got every excuse under the sun why it was much darker and my BFF who dies yarn says she is full if it. You are special cause you really can't control
Qeenribbit says

the sun. But when its cooked in a pot or oven it can be controlled and this dyer was sloppy like the other dyer who don't rise her yarn well and it bleeds every where. You for good one like you and Lollipop
Qeenribbit says

then you got bad ones. You even put dark on the ones that are darker than normal. It's not like she couldn't have put in her shop and sold it cause it's pretty but it's just not what I was paying for!
fifikins

No, it can't be controlled in pots or ovens really! Dyes react differently and indy dyers all have many variables when it comes to dyeing. I'd be interested to see the consistency of some of your BFFs stuff
fifikins

because it sounds really special if s/he can get that consistency.

The other thing I would add that I have discovered is that colour reacts differently. If you are buying a pot of dye and dyeing yarn using a certain amount and not blending dyes then there is more consistency
Qeenribbit says

Well she dyed 10 balls for me and they all look the same. I don't there wouldn't be a little difference but come on when a light yarn is really dark will you send it to a customer without telling them it much
Qeenribbit says

darker than it should be
fifikins

But when you blend colours (ie blue and yellow to get green) it is hard to dye.
fifikins

That's a shame. perhaps next time ask for more than one photo and ask for some in different light or something?
Qeenribbit says

None the less when i've had other dyers dye me special color ways of there its fine looks like what I expect but this one did not. Way to dark
fifikins

I suppose put it down to experience or something.

Did you get it for a special project? Can it be used for something else?
Qeenribbit says

That is true cause I am tired of wasting my money on all this indie dyed yarn that I am going to learn to do it myself then the only person I can complain about is myself. I could have have had another
Qeenribbit says

1300 yards or more if I would have done it myself. tired of wasting my money and that what i feel like cause i have no desire to knit this yarn even though it pretty cause its not what i wanted
Qeenribbit says
