after reading the rules and FAQ, I'm still a little confused on how the comments are tallied

when you say X comments is that from the individual player or total? (e.g. for 10 comments do you need a thread 20 comments long or one with 5 from each player?)

also what happens if you've made effort to make AC but none of your attempts get enough tagbacks to count as a proof?

Okay, how we tally it is in Proximabeta you need 10 comments total over a minimum of 2 threads (to hopefully promote tagging out with different people every month) 6 to Proximalogs

again with a minimum of 2 threads

either of those i should say not both

or you can do 10 comments in your IC inbox

so those numbers are including responses from the other player?

no they are your responses only

you are responsible for your AC

for example we have a thread going, you make 5 comments i made 4, you still need 5 more comments so

you can thread with someone else, make a post or what have you

this only applies to commenting to someone else. If you make a post yourself, you are only responsible for 5 comments

same goes with logs if you make a log you are only responsible for 6 comments in one thread if you have multiple threads if they add up to 6 it's fine

I'll probably do an example post on the mod account just so folks get an idea of what we're looking for

if none of your attempts to tag count as a proof, then we can talk about it and see what to do from there. It is not your fault if someone doesn't tag you but we'd still like it if people made AC.

obviously if you aren't getting tags that's not your fault, that falls to the other player who is probably not making AC either if they're not tagging you

Like, for the log post I threw up, I have two threads but it's the other person's turn on both of them. I commented to a network post and same deal. If I don't get tagged back again on either of them...

How do hiatuses work? I hate to have to go on one pretty much immediately but I'm moving house in a couple of weeks and pretty much all my free time is going to be effectively gone for some time.
