it now I can see that it started when Matt moved out, the move to this place just exacerbated an existing problem.

He viciously attacked me back in September. That was the first (and by far the worst)injury because I ended up in the ER, antibiotics, arm in a sling and off work for a week due to blood poisoning :\

With that. He was really good for a while after that. I should note that I tried calming collars, calming sprays, expensive foods, I spoiled that little guy rotten trying to make him stop being mean

Spoke to the vet about the aggression and maybe getting him fixed but they told me it would cost a shitton of money and not make a difference at all

So the calming diffuser (like an air freshener wall plug except instead of scent it puts off calming cat pheromones) seemed to be working for a while I thought, bought the refills ahead of time etc

He would be super cuddly with me, but he wasn't allowed to roam the house freely because he would destroy the other cat and he wanted to attack my mom for no reason!

So like I said he was good for a while. But then he attacked me again for no reason. Nobody was around when that one happened and it was on my leg so I was able to keep it a secret. Because after the

second attack it was basically determined that I would not be allowed to keep him if he kept attacking me. So I didn't tell anyone and I was VERY lucky that it didn't get infected like the first two

These are nasty, vicious bites btw, he didn't just scratch me up like cats do. The first time, one of the holes was so deep there was fat coming out of my arm

I have a pic of the nasty infected mess because I am a twisted soul if anyone wants to see. It's pretty gross.

Another couple of weeks of decent Foof, and then he started this new thing where he would try to bite the shit out of my ankles when I walked by

I started looking into shelters because everyone was around for the last attack and even I agreed that I can't live in constant fear of my own pet. I did EVERYTHING I could up to this point to

try to calm him down and make his life more comfortable and I still loved and snuggled him like nothing happened. But he just wasn't the same cat anymore. It was like someone flipped a switch in his

little brain one day and made him crazy and vicious. He wasn't safe to be around, I was worried he would hurt my family and I was scared for the next time he would inevitably hurt me again

I looked at shelters because I felt so HORRIBLE about what I had to do and I was in baaaad denial. Like I hadn't lost enough last year. But I honestly wouldn't have wished him on anyone at that point

He was dangerous. Anyway I had things all lined up for him to go to the humane society, but talked to the vet again first. He advised me (and rightly so) that you can't in good conscience take a

knowingly vicious animal to a shelter. Basically what would happen there is they would keep him in a cage for 3 days, assess him for adoption, and then put him down anyway because his temperament

is NOT suited for adoption. So in the end, it was what was best for him too, he didn't have to suffer in a confined space for a few days before the same thing happened anyway. I felt like the worst

person on the face of the earth.

Anyway, that's the long and short of it. I miss him terribly, he was such a special boy. But a lot of the qualities that made him awesome vanished with this personality change
