on the whole it was kind of a meh episode
can someone paint "no homo jokes aren't funny after the first time and even then they barely are" on the show writers' faces
Where was my emotional investment where was my risk where was my tension
Why as a devoted fan did I sit through a parody of myself being editorially mocked for engaging with a TV show
Why weren't the parts of Mary, and Sherlock's parents, open casting???
Why did it take Sherlock so long to realise a carriage was missing
Why is a clever walking-the-line-between-insensitive-and-hurtful Sherlock interpretation suddenly now all about the emotional-abuse-of-your-best-friend-is-okay angle?
I'm seriously disappointed about Mrs Hudson, and no Sally
I'm hoping the rest of it picks up and it was just a rocky start
then again, I'm also hoping the next two episodes are suddenly a romcom about Mycroft trying to find a friend/partner
"He's always been in control. He is the British government. The ultimate authority. He's- [I'm not lonely]- on the prowl!"
Range of hilarious characters
Somehow always ends up at Lestrade's bitching about his botched dates
Anthea and Molly as a wonderful accompanying side romance
Sherlock and John occasionally turn up to fuck around with him
"He's got 24 hours to save the day... and get the guy"
They could call it Holmes Is Where The Heart Is
Also he wears dumb hats in the montage because this is something we need to see more of
