There was the #1 teacher in the district who did a demonstration lesson after me. The WORST stand and deliver, call/response ever.

The audience criticized him HARD in the q/a afterward. Then asked me for my opinion. Are you KIDDING me? Dude is still on stage!!

So I have some sincere compliments. And asked one gentle wonder about the level of Blooms being used. The lesson seemed to be all at recall/remebering level.

But then tried to help dude save face by saying that it was a vocabulary lesson and that's what was expected. 4 compliments. One wonder. One "let off the hook."

Wow! Two of my handlers said it was a TOUGH spot to be put in and I handled it very very well. They were pleased.

So out of my element here. I'm grateful for any crumb of goodness.

Watched 2 other Chinese teachers teach math lessons today and they hit it out of the park! Excellent teaching.
