because I read everything
and only one author gets repeated!
so, in no particular order:
(but really all of the books in that universe)
that book was my childhood, man
I read those like the pages were made of crack
Castaways of the Flying Dutchman by Brian Jacques
(clearly I liked this guy)
I remember checking this book out from the library a lot
it was really different from other things I'd been reading at the time
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
I'm kinda glad I watched the movie before I read it, because I like them both for their own merits
and I would've been really disappointed if I'd read the book first
I read this one way before the movie, and I remember some adults throwing up a stick saying it was too scary for kids
I think i was in middle school at the time, and I just thought it was super cool
The Mummy, or Ramses the Damned by Anne Rice
Again, I was in middle school and I snuck it from my dad's collection
the sex didn't really bother me. I just thought it was an interesting version of the Mummy
Also, pretty sure I read it in my Ancient Egypt phase
The Princess Bride by S. Morgenstern William Goldman
this is one of the most entertaining books I've ever read
and I will never be out of my Princess Bride phase
that will stick with me till I die
The Neverending Story by Michael Ende
it was a surprise Christmas present, since my parents knew I loved the movies
I didn't even know it was a book, actually
and I love how each chapter begins with a different letter of the alphabet. in order from A to Z.
The Light Princess by George MacDonald
I've been reading this fairy tale since I was really little
I have this really beautiful illustrated version that I love so so much
I've recently started reading some of his other stories and damn, this guy does fairy tales really well
Lord of the Flies by William Golding
not kidding, I was one of the few people who loved this book when it was assigned for reading in 10th grade
everyone else couldn't shut up about Speak, which I'd already read twice before
so I preferred the story about boys degenerating into savages on an island
it was just really interesting and new for me
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
this is definitely the most recent of the books, but I really loved it
it made me cry. not many things can actually make me cry
tear p, yes. cry, not so much.
...wow I read a wide variety of stuff...
