wow that's not a good impression CarterAlexis . So Skype (MS) Doesn't work with Windows 8 (MS). That's really bad MS

from what i can find i may have to run the SL viewer 3 supposedly it is compatible.....too many changes LOL

KristineD: I wasn't joking around. Get rid of the pre-installed antivirus and get another like Avast, then get rid of the junkware from the add/remove programs panel. She seems to be able to run Firestorm fine

ok thanks..mine comes with um something called Trend Micro Titanium Antivirus Plus but to be honest my hubby and i have been using Microsoft security essentials on our computers for a long time with no problems

Yeah the junk that was on it kept freaking out on every little thing and was actually slowing down her net

okies well thanks for the tips..Im looking forward to being able to play SL again

SL works fine on Windows 8, the only issue I have is most things like Skype are an app and they hide in the back ground I have gotten used to it but SL runs fine.
