noticed the odd behaviour, and is trying not to be caught staring.
's eyes widen. He dips down, sniffing, sniffing, and following the trail...to a hot dog stand. Oh. Hm...not what he'd hoped for.
blinks, forgetting to not stare now as the other dips down.. he was definitely following a trail, right?? He steps forward to get in line for the hot dogs, though definitely more interested in this guy.
wrinkles his nose a little. He only ate live meat. This was...obviously well past dead. He dips out of the line, glancing around. The cemetery and morgues came up with nothing...
furrows his brow a little, quickly buying a hot dog before deciding to trail him, though trying to blend in with the crowd.
[Kiku's a kitsune, right?]
unsure where more he could possibly look. Maybe he could find a human that dabbled. A witch, or someone that might be able to tell him where his King was.
takes a bite of his hot dog as he trails, doing his best to seem uninterested while still keeping an eye on him.
unaware of his stalker, glancing behind him by chance. He pauses when he spots Kiku, tilting his head slightly.
bristles a bit as he's spotted, though keeps it mostly under control as he pretends to be looking around at the buildings as he walks. He's hesitant though, knowing he
would either have to walk past or stop as well if the man stayed stationary too long.
frowns, making his way over to him, trying to be...discreet, though he's not doing a very good job. The man smells like death. Not human death, though. Death of everything else...that was strange.
tenses a bit as the man comes closer, definitely deciding to walk past and come round again after a few moments. He wasn't good at confrontation without being prepared first.
turns to watch him walk past. Maybe...maybe this was the one he'd been looking for? His boss sure had picked an unassuming form, but maybe it was all the better. "Oi." He jogs a little to catch up with the_
_other, leaning close to sniff at him. Didn't smell like his boss...
had hoped he was past the radar, but bristles as the stranger chases after him, turning a bit and acting surprised. "Huh...?"
him a suspicious look. "Do you know who I am?" Of course his King would know him, no matter what form he took. If the other didn't know him, then...well, it couldn't be his King.
hesitates a little at that, looking him up and down. "Uhh... am I supposed to?" he asks hesitantly.
raises an eyebrow at that. "No. But you reek of death."
frowns a little, trying not to act surprised. "...that's a very rude thing to say, excuse you."
shrugs. "It's rude to kill...beings."
hums at him, still pretending to be normal. "I don't kill anything other than the occasional insect, thank you very much."
leaned close, sniffing at him again. "You lie. But that's no problem, I will greet you soon enough." All humans died, and they all came to the underworld eventually.
frowns, getting more curious about this guy now. "Excuse me, but what do you mean by that?"
leans forward and sniffs at him again. "Si...quite soon. Attacking beings that are stronger than you, surely I will see you quite soon. The underworld isn't so bad." For him, anyways.
frowns, hand going to knife he had on him. "I have no intentions of you meeting you there," he responds, on the defensive since they're in broad daylight, meaning this guy must be quite powerful.
shrugs. "You may not. But I guard the gate, we will meet whether you like it or not. In time."
furrows his brow as something occurs to him, fingers tightening around the handle of his knife just to feel more protected. "If you're the guard, then why are you here on Earth?"
frowns. "My king is gone. Have you seen him anywhere?"
can feel his stomach drop. "...sorry, what?" he asks, hoping he heard that wrong. The King of Hell was walking around up here??
quirks an eyebrow. "My King. Hades, have you seen him around anywhere? The land of the living is a big place to search..."
pales a bit at the confirmation, though he shakes his head. "I... am sure I would have noticed were he here..."
frowns a little at that. "Oh...grazie. I should keep looking for him then."
shifts a little awkwardly. "Please take him home when you find him. We don't really need more trouble up here..."
looks at him like he's ridiculous. "I came up here to retrieve him. The underworld does not fair well without their King. The last thing I need is an uprising. Souls do not taste as good as demons make it out)
winces. "That would also be terrible. Could you maybe seal the doors once you get back down there? I think that would help."
tilts his head. "I guard the doors myself. Souls come in, but never out. If you're having trouble with demons, it's not from the Roman sect."
