didn't have much control of what he did. He started to toss and turn, his hands heating up. If he didn't have the cuffs on his one hand he'd have melted something by now.
could see the other was starting to get restless in his sleep but knew he had the cuffs on. They would keep his aura under control for now, unless something really went wrong.
didn't always doubt their advanced technology, but he did manage to always find ways to bypass it. He just kept turning, almost muttering the others name silently as he did so.
frowned slightly when he could see that the other was moving his lips as of speaking, repeating the same word over and over again from what it looked like, but it was too quiet for the mic to pick up.
calmed down a bit after a few moments, sweat on his forehead. He hadn't burned anything yet, which was a success.
leant back in his chair again when he saw the other begin to relax. If Søren's aura had increased any more he would have had to intervene, but he was glad he didn't have to.
seemed to fall back into a deep sleep, but just around the early morning his aura started to pick up again, quicker than his previous episode.
had been monitoring the other all through the night and leant forward again when he noticed the aura flare up on the screen. He watched for a couple moments before realising just how fast it was growing, then
jumped out of his chair and ran for the prison cell that kep the other in. The hand cuffs weren't just there as a pre-caution to keep the aura down, they had a nasty side effect that would mean Søren would get
hurt if the aura got too wild, and he would rather die than see the other hurt because of his unstable power. They may be enemies, but he still cared for him.
gripped the fabric of his shirt as he felt himself warm up, subconsciously trying to surpress his aura. The nightmare he was having however made it almost impossible to do that.
opened the door to the cell as quickly as he could and stepped up to the Dane, quickly countering the other's aura by using his own as a shield. He reached forward and gripped his shoulder tightly shaking it as
hard as he could, remembering how much of a deep sleeper the other was. If he could wake him from his nightmare then the aura would stop, or, in the least, Søren would be able to calm it before it burned him.
woke up suddenly from the others shaking with wide eyes and looked up to him. He knew his aura was out of control and instantly stopped it, the red in the room vanishing at once. He closed his eyes a bit and
stared at the ceiling after. "... Tak..."
breathed a sigh of relief as he felt the heat ebb away, calming his own aura after a couple of moments. "You should be apologising to me, not thanking me..."
smirked faintly at that. "Isn't that the same? 'Cause to me it is..." He didn't brush the others hand off, using the excuse he was too tired to. But it really was that he missed the touch.
couldn't help the small smile that pulled at the corner of his mouth when the other didn't react to his hand still lingering on his shoulder. "It would be to you, wouldn't it?"
nods at that and closed his eyes fully. "I'm so fuckin' tired..."
sighed to himself. "Then sleep. I'll stay here in case anything happens."
frowned. "The nightmares are gettin' more real, Ludwig. I feel I'm actually there. All that's around me is devastation..."
nodded once. "I know, just try and get some sleep. It will be easier for you to control your aura when you are well rested. I'll wake you up if the nightmares start, don't worry."
looked him in the eyes before nodding. "Ye better, or else this whole place'll burn to the ground, includin' ye..." He sighed and closed his eyes, getting comfortable again.
smirked slightly and only just managed to press down a small chuckle. He didn't say anything in response, just sat down next to the bunk, his hand slipping down the others arm 'til it was resting
by the side of his hand, skin only just touching but he could still feel the heat the other give off.. He'd always been warm, even before the aura, and Ludwig kind of missed it.
felt the others hand on him still an shivered at the touch. It was welcoming, as he knew he wasn't alone. He tried to sleep, wanting to try and get some decent sleep. He knew he could if the other stayed...
would stay with him till someone questioned it, which wouldn't be any time soon, so the other could sleep in peace for a while.
fell asleep quickly, the exhaustion taking over. He didn't move too much at first, but after a while he began turning. It was always hard for him to get comfortable when it was just him.
gripped the others hand slightly when he felt him moving, trying to reassure the other in his sleep so his aura wouldn't start running wild again.
tightened his hold on the others hand and brought it up to his chest. He just needed the comfort that the other had, and this helped.
felt a pang of longing hit his heart as the other brought his hand up to his chest. It was such a familiar movement that the other did all the time back in the day when he needed reassurance or
comfort, and it physically hurt him to see it again, despite it being an unconscious movement from him.
seemed to sleep peacefully the rest of the night. He liked the comfort, and it was the only thing he needed to get a proper sleep. He knew it wouldn't last though, and one day it just wouldn't be enough.
knew that the other would worry about the future once he awoke, but that would have to wait. For now they no one was going to die just yet. They'd cross that bridge when they got there.
would make sure he crosse it alone, so the other wouldn't have to deal with him, or the responsibilities anymore...
