Okay so we got this house 2 months ago, but the agent only came and did the inventory a few weeks ago, which sort of made sense because we were then all moved in

And we have no functioning locks on our bathrooms. Any of them.

So we were told the agent would get a handyman round to install a lock and also a shower curtain and holder. They came round today.

Late but okay y'know these people are busy.

So they put up a shower curtain and that works, but no shower holder

And the lock they installed doesn't??? Work????

How did that even get past them???

SO we've been trying to contact them all day being like "look this isn't acceptable come fix it"

AKA I've been pestering some poor guy at the letting agency

And handyman guy is coming back tomorrow at noon

""around"" noon

and argh

things are getting fixed but

how do you install a bolt lock incorrectly

and then leave it like "it's ok they won't notice"

I feel a bit mean angry-voicing the lettings guy maybe I'll drop him in a thank you for helping thing or something

yeah they can't mess you around like that, but thanking lettings guy will show you can be an angry well worded demon and a genteel angel as well.

They should have put the damned locks on before you moved in, so they deserve every bit of shit you can throw at them. Fuck the letter, they should be glad you don't post feces through their door.
