sleeping peacefully with his back to the door. He had been sleeping the days away, not touching any food that was brought to him.
opened the door to the cell without announcing his arrival and carelessly kicked aside the other's latest uneaten meal. He tutted and shook his head. "If you keep going like this, Søren, you will die
before I can kill you myself." he said, walking closer to the bunk that held his past-friend-now-enemy.
"Mmm." was his only response as he tried to keep on sleeping. Just because the Blue King was around didn't mean he'd stop sleeping.
stopped by the side of the bed and sighed. "You know, you are really going to have to cooperate more if you want to use my cells as a safe place to sleep."
hummed. "I've been safe so far, ye bein' here won't change a thing."
"I was talking about the world being safe from you, Arschloch. Besides, I don't really think you're that safe here... Not all of my officers are willing to just protect you. Some what something back. As do I."
smirked as he rolled onto his back, putting his hands behind his head. "Oh? What is it that ye want, then?"
shoved one hand deep in the pocket of his trousers whilst eyeing the other on the bunk. "Your cooperation... at first."
rolled his eyes. "I came in here on my own with that first lieutenant. Doesn't that show I'm cooperative?"
"You're not eating." he said, looking back over to the full plate of food still on the floor. "Are you trying to starve yourself?"
shakes his head. "I've been sleepin' too much to eat. Ye know, this is the first time in days I've actually been able to sleep safely. I'm gonna use as much time as I can to sleep."
"It takes two minutes to eat. Surely you could have made time in your busy schedule for that." he said with a small huff.
chuckles and closed his eyes. "Maybe when I'm more awake. For now, more sleep."
rolled his eyes and tugged his hand out of his pocket again, now clutching a packet of (what at least use to be) the other's favourite brand of cigarettes. "How about a smoke first?"
instantly opened his eyes and looked to the other. He smirked and sat up. "That sounds like a plan. Gimme."
held the packet of cigarettes out of the others reach. "Ah ah ah, not yet. Eat your food first. Then you'll get the smokes."
sighed and leaned back on the bed, using his arms to keep himself propped up. "What if I'm not hungry?"
"That's simple," he said whilst crossing his arms, "no cigarettes."
shook his head as he leaned down and grabbed the tray of food. "Mmm. Looks delicious." He said sarcastically before eating slowly.
scoffed. "You are a prisoner, did you really expect a 5 star catering team to work at your command?"
shrugs as he rank some water. "Of course. I am the Red King after all. I expect quality treatment." He joked, picking at some of the food before eating more. He did pick a few things out of it though, his
taste not changing from when they were friends.
couldn't help but take notice of the others quirk and almost smiled to himself. Almost. "Not here you shouldn't."
finished the food and put the tray back on the ground before standing and holding out his hand. "There. Now, gimme."
sighed and took out a cigarette for himself before tossing the rest of the pack to the other. "You got a light by any chane?" He asked, holding out the smoke with a smirk.
couldn't help but chuckle at that as he caught the pack. "Just be lucky that ye're here, or I might burn the place down." He snapped his fingers, lighting the others smoke before doing the same with his. He
took a long drag from it, missing the taste.
took a long drag from his own, taking the smoke down deep. He hadn't really smoked since becoming king and god ha he missed it. He chuckled lightly "I could always put restricting cuffs on you, if
licked his lips as he stepped closer to the other, putting on hand in his pocket. "Ye'd enjoy that, wouldn't ye?" He took another drag and blew some smoke in the others face.
smirked. "You know me all too well, Red..."
scoffed and took another drag as he leaned against the wall. "So, was that the only reason ye came here? To make sure I ate?"
took another drag of his cigarette before shaking his head. "I came here to tell you you need to renounce your throne, Søren.. Before you kill yourself and take half the city with you."
smirked as he took a long drag. "No can do, Blue. Ye know I need to protect what needs to be protected." He tapped the ash on the ground. "And my clan is my life."
scowled. "Half your clan will die if you keep on as you do..."
held up his hands, almost defensively. "Why do ye think I'm here? Certainly not for the food." He tossed the cig down and stepped it out. "Ye're the only one who can keep me calm."
took one last drag before mimicking the other. "And what happens when your devoted followers inevitably break you out?"
stepped closer to the other, putting his hand on the others cheek. "Ye'll just have to catch me again~ Unless ye wanna tie me up now. That'd give ye a bit more time with me."
smirked as he stared right into the others eyes, a small sense of nostalgia coming from the lack of space between them. "I wouldn't go giving me any bright ideas if I was you... You never know just
how far I would go this time."
hums. "How is it, not havin' me to keep ye warm at night?" He put his free hand against the others chest, heating it up faintly. "Now I can make ye melt for me."
brought his hand up to grip the others wrist, but didn't move the hand from his chest. "I think you already knows what it feels like, Søren..." He said with a small frown
hums at that and lets the heat fade before pulling his hand back. "Renounce yer throne, Ludwig. It's what's keepin' us apart." He stroked the others cheek with his thumb lightly.
"You know just as well as I do that I can't do that... Besides, if I did, who'd be there to make sure your sword doesn't fall?"
sighed as he pulled his hand away. "Ye'd still be there. King or not, ye can always calm me down..."
shook his head. "You seem to have a hard time realising that it's your title that's the problem... If you keep on, you will die... And I will have to kill you before your sword can fall..."
shrugs as he sat down on the edge of his bed. "Then so be it. At least it won't be me gettin' my hands dirty."
scowled again. "I don't want to have to kill you."
smirked and tilted his head. "There's no way I can give up my clan. As long as I'm here, I'll live."
sighed to himself, watching the other with a small frown for a short while in silence. "I guess you'll die soon then... I'm sorry."
shrugs. "As long as my power is held back here, I'll live." He tilted his head the other way after. "Just means I gotta be yer prisoner, forever."
"I don't think that will ever happen.. Your clan are too rebellious..." He said before turning to the door. "Auf Wiedersehen, Søren."
hums as he watched the other leave. "Farvel, Ludwig..." He sighed quietly. "If ye want me to live longer... keep visitin' me."
Looked back over his shoulder at the other as he got to the door. "I will try..." He said, before leaving the cell and heading back to the head offices.
smiled and went to sleep some more. He was happy that the other would visit, and he was confident he would. If he didn't... he'd have to deal with the consequences.
knew that he had to visit the other often if he didn't want Scepter 4 burning to the ground, but if he was honest, he didn't really want to. Seeing the other be so careless about his life, resting it
entirely on Ludwig's shoulders hurt him. He couldn't think why the other was so overprotective of his clan, even if it would eventually kill him... Wasn't it logical to just renounce his throne?
considered them family. The bonds between him and his clan were thicker than blood. He practically gave a part of himself to all of them.
could understand the others intentions, but was it really worth it? Worth keeping them apart over? Worth dying for?
blamed them being apart on the other. If he didn't become the Blue King, he knew they could still be together. Right now, his only loyalty was to his clan...
