If you were to name the titans in an English dub, would you want to go more direct translation and call them:
The Colossal Titan, The Armored Titan, and The Female Titan?
Instead of Colossal, Armor, and Female-type titan? Just small nit picks.
I also need to see if it fits in the lines and lip flap of course. "The-Colossal-Titan" is quite a few syllables.
Also opinions on Levi, Revi, or Revaille (I know it sounds the same)
I'm sure people have debated to death on these things. I also wanted to start thinking about military titles that I'm sure have been talked about elsewhere, but I wanted the opinions of people here honestly.
It is canonically "Levi", and I like the "The _ Titan" titles personally but that's really individual.
But since there is only one of the Colossal and Armored...
Yeah, a lot of people shorten The Armored Titan into Armor Titan (I do this). But since it's a specific special titan, I think it deserves the same adjective treatment that Colossal gets.
Yeah, I want to keep it Levi. So it wouldn't have any basis to assume the L would have a harder R sound in English? (or french or the language people say it is)
I think he was named after a kid in Jesus Camp? So it's probably very American-sounding, in terms of being Levi and not Rivaille
Okay, Levi it is, hahaha. I think I saw that mentioned somewhere.
What would you say about the military titles like Taichou, Heichou, Danchou?
Squad Leader, Captain, Commander. Leaving them in Japanese would sound way too weird.
Well I wasn't planning to, I've heard them usually that way, I just wondered if there were any varying opinions on it
