December, but we might push it back to September next year. Just discussing it.

Can you make it for early October? then you could take a day or two and come up here for a foliage tour.

That'd be nice. We need to time it with school holidays. So I'll see what we can do.

Yea, that would be cool. Peak season for foliage around here is early to mid October. After that it's not really worth the trip.

Snow is kinda fun!

Snow around here arrives in bulk around late December to Early January. We some times will get in as early as November but it's usually just a dusting to an inch and it's gone soon after.

Yea, our winter really doesn't arrive here until January. But when it does we get some good snow storms.

Of course there are exceptions to every rule and you may get lucky and get a substantial storm in December.

Well if your planning your visit to see either Foliage or snow then do your homework before booking your trip.

More so for Foliage, it's a fleeting time period lasting a week or two per area you plan to visit. Snow usually a more flexible thing, once January arrives it's a safe bet until March.

The trip is to visit family really. Anything else is just a bonus.
