developing them in rp settings is my favorite thing, especially if they can move toward becoming more like a person, if not necessarily human, etc

I love data's entire character arc for that reason. I put up with episodes of seasons 1 and 2 that I would have otherwise thrown down and walked away from 8\ first two seasons were not that great
