SUMMARY OF PLOT: sometime in the future there's another event where lots of people die, teddy included, and don't come back to life afterward. they don't get released either, they just die.
billy begins another grief spiral that starts to slide into resentment. he begins questioning the legitimacy of superheroes, since if they can't protect people what the hell are they doing?
his latent resentment manifests in people losing their powers. billy grows more depressed, starts questioning whether this world is worth saving at all. the island gradually starts falling apart.
loki, sensing what's happening, decides to do what loki does best and play the villain, which will rally the remaining superheroes of new moore around billy, hoping that having a cause will bring him back
things start getting really dire, island starts becoming more and more isolated, non-fictionals vanish, island descends into total chaos as reality kind of starts falling apart
people gradually start realizing that it's billy doing it but it's too late and he can't stop it. people start defecting to loki's side and independant groups, depending on whether or not they should kill him
ugh i think where i keep getting confused every time i read this is like. is everyone their future selves right now warning them?
(it should be mentioned loki is firmly in the "don't kill billy" camp so he amps up his antics but that doesn't really work and it feels a bit like his plans are getting away from him)
