Elizabethquintan: no problem. I'd chime in but I'm in Chattanooga, which isn't really all that close.

I live in West TN so no help with Nashville schools but yes Marigayle has kids in Nashville schools.

No kids, but with Metro schools it definitely depends on the school. We also have quite a few private and magnet schools.

OMG! OMG! Is it wrong that I want to tell you that Nashville has the best schools in the world because I want you to move here?!!!

The elementary schools in general are fine. Some are excellent. I could help you locate tithe right area. Middle Schools in general suck, but there is a lottery system so you can get into better schools.

High schools are pretty good if you're in the right area. The commute into Nashville isn't bad if you choose a nearby county, which would offer the best

solution for schools. (Robertson, Cheatham, Sumner, and Williamson counties) again, elementary schools are good, so you would be fine for awhile anyway.

Everything here will seem so cheap for you! But the weather is nicer in Sacramento!

marigayle thank you SO much for the info. He would actually be going with the Corps. I'm not sure where his office will be located.

The problem with Sacramento is the area is kinda sketchy from what were being told and TN is closer to home (ugh)
