really really not enjoying the weather. He's stripped down to his skivvies and is avoiding the beaches for this very reason.
that's no fun at all and sends the old man a text, offering him lessons.
doesn't need lessons at all. He would never do it again anyway.
he's being a poor sport. If surfing didn't bring him down, then a game of quick cricket on the beach might?'
might be convinced to go down to the beach if there's cricket involved.
planning a quick game when the tide starts to die down. England will have to just come down and wait for that to happen.
just have to wait till the tide starts to go down before he leaves his house.
he's being a wet blanket. It's some time around 2 that he and his new found friends give up on surfing and return to shore, starting to set up the wickets and mark out a pitch.
already on his way to the beach. He had gotten dressed in shorts and a t-shirt.
still in his swimming trunks and is letting himself air dry as he sets up. When they're done they start separating into teams, with William leaving a space in the other team for Arthur.
finally showed up in time for the game to start. He looked over at William and headed for him. "You're going to burn you know."
blinks, looking up at the sune with a hum. 'This isn't nearly half as bad as my summers... plus, I needed a wee top up.' He looks the other over, 'You're never going to tan like that.'
folds his arms over his chest as he stared at him. "I don't really want to tan."
rolls his eyes and snorts, 'You're on the other team by the way. You'll be glad to know you're shirts.'
waved a hand dismissively at him as he went to join his team with that. He was glad they were the shirts team.
on the shirtless team and seems to be rather pleased about it. He finishes setting up the wickets and goes to his own team, giving them all high fives. This could be seen as a precursor to the Ashes, in a way.
((The Ashes, a tradition between England and Australia, has started recently. ))
((Okay, goodness, I know nothing about Cricket so I'm going to have to try and figure it out as I go.))
((I only know about it cause my Dad is crazy for it. ))
glanced over at him as he organized with his team on what the game plan was.
soon makes his way over for the coin toss, a penny in his hand. 'Heads or Tails, Artie?'
went to stand in front of him and raised a brow at him. "Heads."
Flips the coin and catches it. He presses it down on back of his hand to uncover it. 'Heads. Are you gonna bat or field first?'
glanced back at his team mates before looking over at William again. "Field."
Grins, 'Perfect!' He turns back to his team with a thumbs up. They wanted to bat first, apparently. 'Who's gonna bowl for your team?'
raised a brow at him and pointed to himself. "I will."
Raises an eyebrow before nodding. 'Alright.' ((Is it okay to decide what kind of bowler England is? Or do you already have an idea?)) he returns to his own team, relaying the information he knows about Arthur's
Bowling style. Australia has put himself down as the third batsman.
went back to his team and filled them in on everything. ((You can decided, I still am not really sure.)) He organized with his team a bit more before he took up his position.
Lets the team know that Arthur is primarily a medium bowler, although he often sneaks in a few spinners that throw you off. He lets his first two batsmen head out, encouraging them to go at full-pelt.
((Hope you don't mind, haha. Medium bowlers are quite nice, especially if they're all rounders and have a decent batting rank. Spinners are golden and slow bowlers are sometimes picked up for their bowling_
Alone, although they should be decent with batting as well.'
((Okay, cause I am still completely lost when it comes to knowing how to write this.))
