[Event]steps out onto the streets of First City, making her rounds through the town. She hardly paid any mind to the glares she was receiving. If they had a problem with her, they could leave.
placed a hand on the other's shoulder as she had a wide grin plastered on her face. " There you are~ I've been looking for you all day!" She exclaimed in a cheerful manner.
tenses up a little when she feels a hand on her shoulder and turns to face her. Oh, it was just Dorthe... "Mm, what is it?"
grins as she walked alongside the other, " Nothing much but I managed to get ahold of something good today."
walks a bit away from her but does glance at her when she mentions finding something. "Yeah? What?"
grins more as she pulled out a small and neatly wrapped package that had a faint aroma to it. " Fresh out of the oven."
stares at the package before blinking at Dorthe. "It smells good."
pressed it into the others hands lightly. " Ja. I made it from scratch so try it out."
blinks at the package before looking back at Dorthe. "It's bread, ja?"
nods positively, " Mhmm. I made a few adjustments since some materials were scarce but it should be closest to the real thing."
starts to hand it back to her. "Don't you want it? Are you sure you want to give it to me?"
hums as she pushed it back lightly, " Well I couldn't have made it without the tools you gave me."
felt guilty taking it but does, holding it close. "Thank you."
smiles, " No problem. I just thought you've been scowling a lot lately."
shakes her head a little. "You might be mistaken..." She had been scowling more often. As resources outside the town diminished, she worried more.
gave a hearty kaugh as she patted the other's arm. " Well if it can reassure you, thats only a portion of the output. Thing have been going well in the lab."

blinks at the pat. "That is good to hear, thank you."
smiles with a confident nod. " This city did come from your generosity after all."
looks away and nods slowly. She didn't know how to accept compliments....
hums after, clearly in a good mood due to her success today.
glances at the package again. "Did you try any at all?"
nods, " A little when I shared it with some of the children. They were starving and I wasn't really feeling hungry."
didn't feel as bad about taking it now. "That's good." She planned on skipping a ration for dinner and eating the bread instead.
shrugs, " Ja. They looked pretty sick with the flu going around at this time.The peeps down at the Health centre are bombarded right now."
sighs quietly. "Let's hope it doesn't spread much more."
nods, " I've been working on a cure in my free time but nothing good so far so I'm planning on hitting the further cities to see what they have."
"We will work on isolating the infection until we have a cure."
nods, " I've heard about more serious cases out of town but so far the quarantine procedure seem to be doing well."
nods. "It is the only thing we can do right now."
sighed, " Ja...which kind of sucks."
shrugs and looks at the package of bread. "It's still better than it could be."
nods, " Well I'm planning on taking another group to gather materials I need for a new generator. Think I can get permission again?"
nods. "Of course. I only ask that you allow yourself to be escorted by members of the militia. They know the area and can protect you from bandits."
chuckles, " Tak. I'll rely on them again as usual."
frowns. "The bandits and looters have been growing more violent... be careful out there."
chuckles, " I know. There's a good reason they die down when I'm out there."
sighs and scratches the back of her head. "We can't afford to lose you so just watch out."
laughs, " Don't worry. I can protect myself too."
nods. "I know... but we don't have many people capable of doing the science work you do."
scratches her head, " We could hire a few extras in case you're worried."
"That is why I'm increasing the number that are to escort you."
blinks, " You mean the militia? I was just going to hire some people who were willing to go."
nods and tilts her head a little. "They know the area well and know the tactics that these bandits use."
nods with a grin, " Mhmm. Some of them were previously bandits that are looking for work and food. People are out for gain and a bit of generosity helps."
nods slowly and starts to walk. "Just be careful out there...."
followed beside her, just a step behind out of respect. " Don't worry about it. It's not like anyone will understand what I make since its different from the past."
frowns. "Even if they don't know, they might still attack you to rob or hurt you."
chuckles, " I know. It's not like its the first time I've been out there."
sighs quietly. "Yes, but there have been a lot more looters recently..."
