yay! even though I'm just starting out in vaping, I'm looking forward to seeing what all you have in store
WOOTWOOT! hopefully, something brilliant!
I am also starting out vaping.
Just picked up a second tank (the purple). gotta stay organized
that's the great first step, Ms. Caliber! question, were you a smoker before starting to vape?
i count my last cigarette as two days before my aneurysm, 2 years ago. it's strange, this past year cravings started to come back again and i slipped up at social events a few times.
i am vaping 0mg nic, though. i dont' wish to go back again.
well then i think vaping is a billion times better than falling back on those horrible cigs. good for you!
and yes, i do carry 0mg, for a good reason.
I quit (again) a couple of months before I had surprise surgery. Vaping absolutely aided my recovery.
moomoney that's just fantastic. i actually heard that some people also uses 0mg as a diet aid, like for food fixation.
Looking back, I think I relapsed into smoking because the ejuice I ordered way back when was too thick for my atomizer. I really should have realized that and looked into different options.
canhasflavor: I vape a lot of redbull flavor and every cherry variation imaginable. Black cherry, wild cherry, tobacco with cherry.
hey, at first, it can be like that. it took me 5 years getting various gears before finally getting that satisfaction i craved.
I relapsed in to smoking because I was stressed as hell, but after my vacay, I'm gonna make a proper effort.
Veenya: good for you, and knowing you, i know you will kick out that habit in the shins
myself, it's been 4 months and 1 week that i didn't smoke a single cig. thanks to my mod, and vivi tanks, i'm finally free. at least, compared to what i was before.
that's fantastic
isn't it? honestly, i believe it saved my life. i was on a very very bad track with smoking. out of control, and i did really begin to feel it badly.
welcome Duranu and Icarii!! how's you folks?!
I was so ashamed of smoking. I only smoked 5-10 cigs a day, but I hated it. I don't even think I vape 1ml of 18mg a day. I absentmindedly pick it up as I need it and set it down until I'm ready for more.
8-12mg was just too light for me, despite smoking that equivalent in cigarettes. The samples they gave me were 18mg and I ended up giving the 8mg to my mom. If you find yourself still craving cigs, go higher.
ah right. i think what i liked best about smoking was the social aspect. there's definitely camaraderie and it's a good icebreaker in some situations.
also, smoking indoors was my favorite thing ever.
yeah i was the same, as in mindlessly compulsive
I smoked way too much when I could do it indoors at my parents house. I only type with one finger per hand, so I could type with it in my hand full speed at a pack a day.
and what Moo said. the number one reason for people returning on cigs, is that they don't get their nic properly. be it by low concentration, OR faulty hardware.
hmm. i have lots to think about. i do know i love vaping ,even though i just have a knockoff ego. it is a fun hobby.
canhasflavor: 3 years ago, I had a brand new Ego and a bunch of 100% VG liquid from Velvet Vapors. It actually hurt my gums and teeth to suck on it so hard. It was futile, so I gave up. There really should be
a warning about thickness, as well as more knowledge on the subject that's not buried in 5 years of forums and wikis.
that stuff is like.. honey. usually it MUST be diluted with PGA (pure grain alcool) or demineralized water
it's practically un-vapable as is. note that there's no such thing as 100% VG tho, because most if not all flavorings contains a bit of PG
Fine: actually you should be all right with them, as you're not addicted to nicotine currently.
I guess their VG is 5-20% PG, but yeah. It was like insanely thick and hard to pull through.
i know it's advertized as 100% but whatevs. also, i'd personally never sell that. i understand some people are allergic to PG but i couldn't as all flavors contains PG so they'd risk allergy too
www.velvetvapors.com/Bas... I got the velvet blend, though it doesn't discuss the % there. I just know it was ridiculously thick and made me quit e-cigs almost immediately.
right. not addicted to nicotine currently! I am addicted to all the little rebuildable possibilities. i had better close all these vape tabs and get some homwework done.
also, must be a bitch to mix that stuff! i actually had to struggle with it and find techniques only to mix the 35% VG i use. i have to heat it up to make it more fluid. and use a silicon spatula!
moomoney: yeah i totally bet it was.. they should put a warning about the thickness because no way you can put that in an eGo or even a rebuildable tank
Finecaliber: haha i hear you there! have fun with the studies!
I think with a stronger atomizer or something, I'd have been fine, but the base one just can't seem to handle anything but pure PG. DFW Vapor doesn't list the ratios on theirs, so I assume it's pure PG.
very very probably. i don't do pure PG myself, because it's not thick enough for standard tanks. i would if i made stuff only for the eGo standard tanks tho. it's true they are persnickety.
to be completely honest, i ditched the eGo standard tanks almost right away, and went with ordinary CE5 clearos. best thing i ever did, even if they were crappy.
lead me to get a Vivi Nova tank, then a Mini Nova.
I'm definitely going to look into getting a mini in a week or two.
it's totally worth it. they are pretty tough, harder to break (plexi), rebuildable and super easy to maintain.
sometimes you can have minor issues if you mishandle them like i do (leaks, etc) but under normal condition, they are great
also, they are like tiny smoke machines
