We had a couple of other tents, one which was much, much larger, but most of our stuff got stolen a couple of years ago. Mixed blessing. I miss the big tent, but this one is so much easier to setup.

Not really, I don't do SCA much these days. I help set up camp and visit a couple of times over the week, but it is mostly for the wife.

Ah well, interests change but its nice that you still help your wife enjoy that.

Broke camp in the middle of a big storm yesterday, lots of fun there. I did pick up some elephant and hippo hide leather to make boots and shoes with though.

I also promised my wife that I would make us some better camp furniture for next year.

Something like these? I have something like the Savonarola chair, and we tried the rope bed for a while. I found the slat beds to be more comfortable, if bulkier to transport.

Actually I was considering something like the Savonarola chair or the Coffer Chair, though my woodworking skills are somewhat limited. I also will probably make something like a viking bed as well.

I will admit, when we were active locally, Nordics were the ones building cool camps. They had the two-plank loungers, wedge tents and slat beds that all fit into/onto a hatchback. I'm not entirely sure how....

We have a nice big cargo trailer, so no problems storing and transporting stuff. The trailer got stolen, and most of the contents disappeared. We got the trailer back ,but who knows what happened to the stuff

in it. I'm guessing they had no idea what any of it was or what it was worth and it probably all got thrown away somewhere.
