Oh, haha, this was in direct reference to an article going around SPN fandom. It's just saying things agree with for all the wrong reasons, and SINCE they're actually things I agree with, it's tragic.

I'm of the school that doesn't believe in diagnosing fictional characters (or uh, diagnosing anything unless you're appropriately trained to do so, but anyway. Fictional characters), and this rabbit hole

I actually don't mind people "diagnosing" fictional characters? But I mean, I think it should be done with a real sense of "I'm having fun and am no expert about this but I just wanna riff on this character

You can do whatever you want in fic, or even ~hypothetical meta but when your article is a (very public) prescription for WHAT CANON SHOULD BE DOING for your favorite character's arcs next season, well. XP
