Oh, haha, this was in direct reference to an article going around SPN fandom. It's just saying things agree with for all the wrong reasons, and SINCE they're actually things I agree with, it's tragic.

I actually don't mind people "diagnosing" fictional characters? But I mean, I think it should be done with a real sense of "I'm having fun and am no expert about this but I just wanna riff on this character
some." And I can definitely see where some people take it into deathly serious territory where they get really INVESTED in their presumptive diagnosis, and I agree, that can be so galling
You can do whatever you want in fic, or even ~hypothetical meta but when your article is a (very public) prescription for WHAT CANON SHOULD BE DOING for your favorite character's arcs next season, well. XP
